The Music Department of the Division of Fine Arts and Communication at Quincy University offers four-year music degrees in:

The Music program prepares students for a well-rounded degree in music, or who may aspire to become performing artists. Our classis curriculum has prepared generations of professional musicians and places substantial emphasis on music history, music theory, literature, and performance. Junior and Senior recitals cap the performance component of this degree.

Admission to Quincy University does not constitute entrance into the music program. All students wishing to major or minor in music must audition before members of the music faculty prior to acceptance as a music major or minor.

The Music Division welcomes non- music majors to participate in the various ensembles.

Special or unique advantages of the QU program in this major field:
Unlike larger university classrooms, the Music Program at Quincy University provides the unique advantage of its small classroom size allowing for improved interaction among students and between students and their teachers. This atmosphere provides excellent opportunities for social interaction.

Kappa Kappa Psi Music Fraternity

The Quincy University Music Program is proud of its chapter affiliation and membership in the Kappa Kappa Psi music fraternity. The demonstration of leadership and excitement of its student members helps maintain a high spirit and enthusiastic presence across campus.
