If you're considering a career in law, government, teaching, or a business that requires a keen awareness of political science, Quincy University's program will give you a leading edge.

With a rich array of courses in U.S. and international government, the Political Science program prepares you to comprehend issues in law, political theory, international relations, conflict management, and comparative government.

Our faculty is committed to individualized education in Quincy's Franciscan, liberal arts tradition. You'll also benefit from the guidance of alumni and members of the local community who are engaged in law or government. Politicians, government officials, judges, and attorneys teach courses and serve as informal advisors, and Quincy's small class size enables you to take full advantage of their expertise.

Our Political Science program offers a bachelor of arts degree and a minor. The department is also home to Quincy's extensive Pre-Law Program, which offers focused courses and activities that are particularly valuable to those seeking admission to law school.

International Study
As a Political Science major, you'll be ideally prepared to benefit from international study. Quincy offers semester-length study in collaboration with universities in other nations as well as short-term academic programs such as the Assisi Experience. The London Experience, a week-long excursion focused on the historic and legal heritage of England, compresses extensive learning and enjoyment into a convenient time frame.
