Active Learning Opportunities

Quincy University's Coleman-Hughes Graphic Design Complex features a design lab, darkroom, and multimedia lab fully equipped with the latest versions of Adobe design, web, and production software. Quincy also offers studios for drawing, painting, printmaking, three-dimensional art, and ceramics. The Gray Gallery, located in Quincy's Brenner Library, features monthly exhibits by nationally recognized artists—including alumni—who frequently offer workshops and gallery talks. Faculty members display current projects, too, and students compete for a spot in the annual juried exhibition, gaining professional experience and a chance to market their work.

You can also gain experience through the internship opportunities available in the area community. Home of the nation's first arts council, Quincy features museums and a dynamic art center as well as many businesses that seek the expertise of visual artists and designers. Most internships are paid positions, providing an ideal chance to earn while you learn.
