Graduation Application

Candidates for degrees should file an Application for Graduation with the Office of the Registrar. May and August degree candidates must file no later than February 1 in the academic year in which they expect to graduate. December degree candidates must file no later than February 1 of the prior Spring Semester. A non-refundable application fee will be charged when the application is filed. Failure to file an application on time may result in a later graduation date or late application fee.

Students who do not complete their degree requirements by the date for which they originally applied for graduation must complete a new application indicating their new anticipated graduation date (additional reapplication fees may apply).

Located on the first floor of Francis Hall in room 130, the Registrar's Office maintains academic records for former and current students. It also provides services to students, alumni, faculty, departments and the public including:

  • Preparation of official transcripts
  • Verification of student enrollment
  • Verification of good student discount forms
  • Preparation of course and final exam schedules (also available on the web)
  • Evaluation/posting of transfer credit, CARE credit, and AP/CLEP/IB credit
  • Evaluation of degree audits for graduation
  • Advance approval of undergraduate courses to be taken elsewhere and transferred to QU

Some of the forms available in the Registrar's Office are:

  • Declaration of major/minor, change of advisor, add second advisor
  • Change of name, address, and phone number
  • Registration, change of registration ("add/drop"), practicum, independent study, and directed study
  • Graduation application/re-application
  • Major checklist
  • Request for Undergraduate Transfer Credit
  • Privacy Coding Request (to not be listed in student directory, etc.)
  • Authorization to Release Confidential Information (example - to parents)
