Homecoming 2015 will be here before you know it. This year's Homecoming festivities take place the weekend of October 2-4. Join us for a weekend of family, fun, Hawks athletics and the FIRST HOMECOMING GAME AT THE NEW QU STADIUM!

Homecoming Events

Day Start Time End Time Event Description
Thursday 9 am 12 pm Day of Service All alumni are invited to participate in a day of service around campus and the Quincy community.
Thursday 7 pm 10 pm Homecoming Parade and Bonfire Members of the Quincy University community are invited to kick-off Homecoming with a pep rally, parade, and bonfire.
Friday 11 am 7 pm Open House/Registration Meet with fellow alumni and pick up your complimentary gift as the weekend kicks off. Quincy area alumni will be conducting campus tours during this time. Retired faculty and staff will be greeting alumni at this time.
Friday 12:15 pm 1 pm Daily Mass
Friday 4 pm 7 pm Happy Hour After a long drive to campus, come out to enjoy a couple of drinks with your fellow Hawks at the Hawks' Nest from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Help us make this event even bigger: forward, Facebook or Tweet this event to your QU friends!
Friday 7 pm 2 am Hawks' Nest Open Regular Hawks' Nest hours with Luau beginning at 11:00 pm.
Friday 5 pm 7 pm QU Women's Soccer vs. William Jewell Come watch our own QU Hawks as they take on the Cardinals at Legends Stadium.
Friday 6 pm 9 pm Homecoming BBQ Join us for what has quickly become one of the weekend's biggest highlights! Gather at the QU tent at the North Campus Lawn for dinner with friends and family as the Hawks take on GLVC rivals William Jewell starting at 6:00 pm.
Friday 7:30 pm 9:30 pm QU Men's Soccer vs. William Jewell Come watch our own QU Hawks as they take on the Cardinals at Legends Stadium.
Saturday 8 am 9:45 am National Alumni Board Meeting Quincy University alumni are invited to attend the National Alumni Board meeting and to learn more about what is going on at your alma mater. Find out how to be more involved at QU.
Saturday 9 am 10:40 am Hawk Fun Run/Walk Just in case you might have over-indulged this weekend, come on out to North Campus and burn some of those calories off with a little bit of competition among friends. This fun run/walk will commence at Legends Stadium and take you through memory lane to QU Stadium.
Saturday 9 am 11 am Softball Alumni Game Quincy University softball players from the past will again don the brown and white and take the field. Alumni and guests can contact Carla Passini (passica@quincy.edu) to register or for additional information.
Saturday 9 am 1 pm QU Hawk Tailgating Prior to kick-off, we invite our guests to join us for our annual Pre-Game Celebration (aka tailgating). Food and alcohol will be available for purchase.
Saturday 10 am Open Forum with Dr. Gervasi All alumni are invited to learn more about their alma mater through a presentation by QU President, Dr. Robert Gervasi at MacHugh Theater at 10:00 am. Continental breakfast will be served right before the meeting.
Saturday 11 am 12 pm Campus Tour
Saturday 1 pm QU Hawks vs. Saint Joseph's Come watch our own QU Hawks as they take on the Pumas at our very first Homecoming game on QU Stadium's new football field. Class of 1965 alumni are invited to watch the game in the President's box.
Saturday 3 pm 4:30 pm Alumni Art Exhibit This year's exhibition features the works of alumna, Kathy Duffin '91. Refershments are provided.
Saturday 3 pm 3:45 pm Alumni College A Dr. Costigan, Emeritus Professor of History, will present a lecture on two well-known priests with Quincy connections at the Student Success Center.
Saturday 4 pm 4:45 pm Alumni College B Dr. Al Pogge, Emeritus Professor of Biological Sciences, will present a lecture on Climate Change at the Student Success Center.
Saturday 6 pm 9 pm Alumni Dinner Celebrate with Alumni of Year, Paul Brown '65, at this year's alumni dinner where the anniversary classes of 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, and 1995 will be honored at the Connie Niemann Center for Music. Reservations are required. Cost is $20 per person.
Saturday 9 pm Midnight Hawks' Late Night Gathering Smooth Sounds Jazz will provide the music for this evening's entertainment at the Hawks' Nest.
Sunday 10 am 11 am Alumni Memorial Mass Join fellow alumni to celebrate the Fest of St. Francis. Married alumni will also be honored with a renewal of marriage vows.
Sunday 11 am Noon Farewell Brunch A Homecoming comes to an end, join us for a farewell brunch following the conclusion of Sunday morning mass at the Private Dining Room. Brunch is $11 and may be paid at the door.
Sunday 12 pm QU Women's Soccer vs. Rockhurst QU Hawks will battle Rockhurst Hawks at Legends Stadium.
Sunday 2:30 pm QU Men's Soccer vs. Rockhurst QU Hawks will battle Rockhurst Hawks at Legends Stadium.
