Chi Omega Makes Donation to the Well House

Well House assists its clients in reintegrating into the community by building a faith-based foundation, developing education and career goals, improving life skills, and nurturing strong mother-child relationships.

The donation was a portion of the proceeds from a holiday gift basket fundraiser that MEC and Chi Omega members held during the fall 2012 semester. Eight baskets, comprised of items donated by area businesses and individuals, were raffled off. To date, fundraising efforts have allowed the MEC program to not only support local service organizations, but to sponsor students who present at professional conferences, to host professional development programming on the QU campus, and to provide supplemental educational programming and fellowship opportunities. These efforts allow MEC students to engage in servant-leadership beyond the classroom, an important component of the Quincy University mission, and a key factor in facilitating MEC students' professional identity.
