Bob Mejer, Distinguished Art Professor at Quincy University, has been chosen to showcase his watercolor piece, “Crossroads” at the 2013 Illinois State Fair. Juror of Selection & Awards, Richard De Pirro, Indiana Artists, Art Educator and Gallery Director selected “Crossroads,” a monotype on “Variant: Shape, Shadows and Spaces,” to be a part of the State Fair exhibition. Mejer received a first place award for his work. The watercolor will be displayed at the Professional Art Exhibition in the Artisans Building in Springfield, Illinois from August 9th to 18th.
Mejer was also recently recognized by the Juror of Selection & Awards, Ratindra Das, National Watercolorist, for his entry “Take PC #39.” This piece will be displayed at the 29th Annual National Exhibition of the Illinois Watercolor Society The Next Picture Show Gallery in Dixon, Illinois. The watercolor also received a Honorable Mention Award.
