This position seeks to further the mission of Quincy University and the Office of Student Affairs through work with students in the various Student Affairs functional areas. Graduate Assistant for Career Services

Quincy University seeks qualified applicants for Graduate Assistant for Career Services.  

Responsibilities include: Assist with planning and executing career events, Assist with education students on study abroad program, internships, and workshops through various marketing strategies including social media.  

Position is part-time. Graduate Assistant for Academic Success Center

Quincy University seeks qualified applicants for Graduate Assistant for Academic Success Center.  

Responsibilities include: Serves as representative of the University, promoting QU’s mission, image and goals to colleagues and community. Provides a welcoming atmosphere to currently enrolled and prospective students, alumni and employers. Assists with mentoring Supplemental Instructors for the SI Program. Assists Director with coordinating RAP Program. Assists Director in coordinating the QUEST Program. Assists Director in coordinating tutor training and mentoring. Oversees proctoring of Miller’s Analogy Test (MAT) with Deputy Proctor Status. Assists Director of Learning Resources in proctoring exams for students with ADA compliant accommodations. Prepares monthly and annual reports for Academic Success Center. Creates and monitors social media for Academic Success Center. Creates and presents presentations regarding Academic Support, the Academic Success Center, and study skills/habits, to campus groups/organizations as requested, and helps train tutors in giving these presentations. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to create and deliver presentations. Skilled in event planning and promotional strategies. Ability to make students and employees feel at ease during meetings. Ability to connect with students and other constituents through verbal and written communication. Ability to multi-task and work under stressful situations. Ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously. Graduate Assistant/Supervisor of QYO Sweet Treats Café
