Meeting Times & Location: Wednesdays @ 5:30pm. North Campus
Target Membership: Band Members
Dues: $85 annually/ $95 initiates/ $15 chapter fee
Joining Requirements: Member is a good player, is a technical and expressive player, and can blend and balance with others. Member shows up early, practices on their own time, is willing to go above expectations, is responsible, and asks for help with music. Member shows a noticeable improvement over time, practices on their own time, is punctual, and is in the band for the music not money. Member has approachability, is helpful, and is compassionate.

Programs: Petting Zoo - Students from area shcools come and try out several instruments in order to aid selection process. We move equipment and provide help and refreshments for music department events.

1.Service Projects
- Petting Zoo- Our chapter hosted a petting zoo for grade school children to come in and view the different instruments and try them out before they choose which instrument they would like to purchase. This event is treated as a small fundraiser that we charge each child $2 to go through and try as many instruments as they would like.
- Faculty Recital-For the music faculty recital, the members of our chapter helped by being ushers and stage hands for the performance.
- Disinfecting- Each Monday of the week a member disinfects all doorknobs and surfaces of the music hallway to cut down on any illnesses.
- Music Stands-The chapter assembled new music stands for each of the ensembles and bands.
- Hair Dye-Each of the girls in the chapter dyed strands of their hair pink to promote breast cancer awareness throughout the month of October.
f.Parade-The chapter baked cookies for the marching band for a Veterans Day parade. - Classroom Cleaning-Cleaned classroom to show perspective music students on discovery day at Quincy.
2.Fundraisers
- T-shirts- Created a design for a t-shirt for marching band to sell at home football games. The shirts were sold at $15 a shirt.
- Coupon Books- Each member sold coupon books for Bergner's community days for $5 a coupon book.
- Petting Zoo- Our chapter hosted a petting zoo for grade school children to come in and view the different instruments and try them out before they choose which instrument they would like to purchase. This event is treated as a small fundraiser that we charge each child $2 to go through and try as many instruments as they would like.
3.Musical
- Composition Competition- Our chapter hosted a composition competition where and music students could submit 16-32 measure of any type of composition to two of our music faculty for a reward. This was greatly promoted during the Month of Musicianship.
4.Leadership projects
- Officer Handbooks- Each officer created handbooks for their office that they can pass down to future officers. The handbooks contain a copy of the national constitution, the chapter constitution, leadership development, and parliamentary procedure. Depending on which office the handbook can also contain other sections as well.
5.Socials
- Movie- The beginning of the year chapter social included watching the movie Tron and eating pizza. The members also listened to the soundtrack for the movie during the social as well.
- Band Banquet- Our chapter hosted the end of the year marching band banquet as well as created awards for everyone to vote and be presented at the social as well.
