Occupational Therapy Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (Open Rank, Remote)

Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, 12 month Doctoral Capstone Coordinator in Occupational Therapy.

Quincy University is launching doctoral degree programs in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy in January 2026. QU is on track with CAPTE accreditation for DPT and ACOTE accreditation of the OTD program. New laboratory and teaching spaces are currently being constructed as part of a

$4.2 million facilities remodeling project, including expansion of the existing cadaver lab.

Responsibilities: The Doctoral Capstone Coordinator has the responsibility and authority to establish academic regulations and to design, implement and evaluate the occupational therapy capstone program in conjunction with the program director. The Doctoral Capstone Coordinator will be responsible for compliance with the capstone requirements of the ACOTE Standards Section D.1.0.

Courses will be taught in synchronous and/or asynchronous online delivery. Faculty are required to travel to Quincy, IL for lab immersions periodically.

Release time will be included to maintain clinical practice. Graduate level teaching will include 9-12 credit hours plus capstone courses.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a doctoral degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by an USDE- recognized institutional accrediting agency. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for occupational therapy licensure in Illinois. Additionally the candidate must have 3 years of documented experience in occupational therapy, which includes clinical practice, teaching responsibilities at a postsecondary level, and scholarship.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a Doctoral Capstone Coordinator and/or curriculum design experience.

Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Theology

Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Theology. QU offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Philosophy, with concentrations in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Catholic and Franciscan Theology, and Philosophy & Ethics. This position also serves the minor in Theology as well as the larger student body by offering theology courses as part of our Bonaventure Program of core studies.

Responsibilities:  QU is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses such as Introduction to Christian Moral Conscience, Christian Sexuality, Guide to Christian Marriage, and Catholic Social Teaching and/or other courses in their areas of expertise and interest.  The standard teaching load is 4 courses each semester.  Academic advising and committee work are expected after the first year.

Instructor/Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity

Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Cybersecurity.  Courses are taught using the new Cybersecurity Lab, 3-D Printer/Networking Lab, and Robotics Lab.  Nearly 50 students have declared majors in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:  QU is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses such as Codes and Ciphers, Cryptography, Fundamentals of Information Assurance, Computer Forensics & Incident Response, Computer & Network Security, and/or other courses in their areas of expertise and interest.   The usual teaching load is 4 courses each semester.  Academic advising and committee work are expected after the first year.

Bus Driver

 Quincy University is seeking a responsible and experienced Bus Driver to join the Quincy University Athletics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting our student-athletes, coaches, and staff to and from sporting events and activities in a timely and courteous manner.

 Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a bus on assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and university policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, including helping with luggage and equipment.
  • Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with team coordinators, and other staff members.
  • Handle emergencies and incidents calmly and efficiently, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, reporting any issues to maintenance staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Admission Counselor

Quincy University invites qualified applicants for a full-time Admission Counselor position.  Reporting to the Dean of Admission, the Admission Counselor plays an integral role in realizing the University’s overall enrollment goals through the recruitment of new students.  Ideal candidates will enjoy engaging with prospective students, articulating the relevance of a liberal arts and sciences education in a community grounded and informed by Franciscan values and the University’s Catholic heritage.  An Admission Counselor must speak persuasively to large and small groups, possess exceptional writing skills, work independently as well as collaboratively, self-motivate, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, travel frequently, and sometimes work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.  This position is classified as hourly and Admission Counselors may work more than forty hours per week in pursuit of the University’s enrollment goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage geographic territory – including visiting high schools, meeting with students and parents, articulating the benefits of a Quincy education, assisting students through the application and enrollment processes, and helping families with the application for financial assistance.
  • Use various communication channels to build relationships with students, parents, guidance counselors, and other influencers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting for assigned territory, including inquired, applied, admitted, and committed students.
  • Maintain the integrity of student data in CRM, and analyze student data to manage student recruitment within specific territory.
  • Participate in recruitment events including on-campus recruiting events, college fairs, high school visits, and other events as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with student recruitment and/or marketing preferred.
