
QU HAWK EXPRESS JAZZ BAND TO PERFORM SPRING JAZZ SHOWCASE CONCERT
The Quincy University Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform its Spring Jazz Showcase Concert on Sunday, April 6 at 3:00 p.m. at the Connie Niemann Center for Music at QU’s North Campus, 17th & Seminary Road. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform a wide array of jazz pieces including Give it One, Night of the Mojito, Smackdown, and It Had to Be You. Senior, Daxtun Heier, will be featured on piano on Sammy Nestico’s That Warm Feeling. Senior vocalist, John Beisner, will be featured on the classic tune Just Friends.
The QU Hawk Express Jazz Band is under the direction of Christine Damm, DMA, dean of the school of fine arts and communication.
