Quincy University will once again light up Friars’ Field (20th and College) with ten hot air balloons on Thursday, September 26. This free family-friendly event will start at 6:00 p.m. The Homecoming parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., at 18th & Lind and will travel south on 18th Street to Oak, east on Oak to 20th and north on 20th to Friars’ Field. A pep rally will follow. The balloons will light up afterward from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. (weather depending). Food and beverages will be available for purchase from various vendors from 6-9 p.m. There will also be bounce houses and kid’s activities available.

On Friday, September 27 at daybreak the balloons will take off from Friars’ Field, weather permitting. Blessing Health System is this year’s major event sponsor. Other sponsors include Adams Fiber, Ferrellgas, Holiday Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Just Jump Quincy, Mobile Entertainer, Refreshment Services Pepsi, WGEM and Y101 Radio.
