Quincy University’s history department will host a presentation by Justin Coffey, PhD, professor of history and Fr. Aaron Pembleton endowed chair in history, at 7pm on April 3 in the QU Hall of Fame Room in the Health & Fitness Center, 1901 Oak St.

In his presentation, “U.S. Presidents Who Have Visited Adams County,” Coffey will discuss the history of chief executives who have visited Adams County, a county named after John Quincy Adams, the country’s sixth president.

“The talk will include those who came to Adams County when they were president and a few who campaigned in Quincy and later went to the presidency,” said Coffey.

This presentation is part of the Adams County Bicentennial celebration, marking two centuries of rich history, growth, and community spirit.
