QU’s Gray Gallery to Host Watercolor Exhibition
Quincy University’s Gray Gallery, located in Brenner Library, will host an art exhibition featuring works from the Great River Watercolor Society (GRWS) watercolor workshop held in November with Beth Shadur. The GRWS will also include their popular 2×2 paintings as well as new work produced in the last year. An artist reception will be held on January 18 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., in the Gray Gallery. Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public. The exhibit will run January 14 through February 5, 2019, and is free and open to the public.
The GRWS meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the Gray Gallery. The group includes professional artists as well as amateurs. Membership is open to all persons who are interested in and active in watercolor painting. GRWS encourages all forms of water-based media. Meetings include a time of sharing and critique. The Gray Gallery is open Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 11:00 pm; Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; Saturday, Closed; Sunday, 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
