QU’S GRAY GALLERY TO HOST VISITING WATERCOLOR ARTIST

Quincy University’s Gray Gallery, located in Brenner Library, is hosting an art exhibition featuring visiting watercolor workshop artist Marilynne Bradley from St. Louis, Mo.

Bradley will showcase her watercolors “Geometric Transformations” from September 30 – November 2.

The Great River Watercolor Society & QU Art Department are co-sponsoring the event with an artist’s reception/refreshments from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on November 2 in the Gray Gallery.

Bradley’s Watercolor Workshop “Geometric Transformations” will take place November 2 from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Francis Hall room 436.

Marilynne Bradley is an artist, teacher, and highly sought-after workshop instructor, nationally and internationally. She has been acknowledged as Who’s Who in American Women Artists, World’s Who’s Who of Women, and Who’s Who in the World.

“My compositions evolve by reconstructing overlapping planes created by straight lines and tangents,” said Bradley. “Changing the formal structure of organic shapes into a controlled approach of rigid linear constructions alters the mood of a scene, not to mention the contrast it provides to shadows and movement.”
